WhatsApp privacy

What we keep

• Your phone number, as WhatsApp passes it to us.
• The text of your message, or the caption and file name of a photo, document or sticker. The file itself is not downloaded into our inbox: it stays with Meta and its link expires.
• The name in your WhatsApp profile, when WhatsApp sends it along.
• When you sent it, when we received it, and whether the message came from you or from us.
• The raw technical delivery data of the message, so we recognise duplicates and can trace problems.

What we do not do

• Nothing answers you automatically. A person reads the message and replies by hand.
• We never sell your data and never use WhatsApp messages for advertising.
• We do not publish your message or your number anywhere.

Why we keep it

• To answer your question.
• To link the message to your project or dossier.
• To open an internal task or ticket when the message asks for work.

Who can see it

• Axiom team members with back-office access.
• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), which carries the message to us.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the data.
• No advertisers, no data brokers, no outside marketing tools.

How long we keep it

• Messages are deleted automatically 12 months after the last message in the conversation.
• Ask us in the chat or by e-mail and we delete your messages sooner.

Your rights

• You can ask to see your data, have it corrected or have it deleted. You can object to processing or ask for a copy.
• Use our data request form or e-mail start@builtbyaxiom.be. We answer within 30 days.
